Thu 19 August 2021:

According to US-based news outlet Fox News, a YouTuber has established a new Guinness World Record by guzzling a two-liter bottle of Pepsi in less than 20 seconds.

YouTuber Eric “Badlands” Booker, whose channel was created in September 2012, set the world record by chugging the bottle of sugar-free cola in 18.45 seconds.

Booker, who is also a rapper, broke the record in May, and Guinness World Records acknowledged it last week on their blog.

Booker measured the Coke out of a jar with labels to validate the measurements on the side.

With nearly three million subscribers and over 289 million views on his YouTube channel, the New York-based YouTuber also takes on a range of eating challenges and is a competitive eater who, according to Fox News, is 23rd in the Major League Eating rankings.

According to Guinness, he can attempt to break a number of additional drinking-related world records. A man in Germany set a new record for drinking a Capri Sun juice in 14.30 seconds earlier this year.

Earlier this year, a British Youtuber gulped down 50 Cadbury chocolate eggs in less than half an hour. Max Standford, who goes on the video-sharing platform by the name of ‘Max Vs Food’ recently uploaded a video that features him devouring the creme loaded confectionery in a record time of 24 minutes 21 seconds. Talking about his YouTube adventure, he said that it was “horrific” adding that “sugar was a real struggle”.
