SURVEY SHOWS DONALD TRUMP LEADING JOE BIDEN IF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WERE HELD TODAY

Thu 09 December 2021:

If the 2020 US election had been held a year later, in November 2021, more Americans would have voted for Donald Trump, a former US Presidnt, over Joe Biden.

According to a new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll, 48 percent of Americans said they would vote for Donald Trump, while only 45 percent said they would vote for Biden.

The survey was released exclusively to The Hill.

When it came to American men, 50% favored Trump and just 43% backed Biden, however women’s votes were evenly split at 46%.

Biden, on the other hand, won by 20 percentage points in urban regions and by four percentage points in suburban areas. Rural voters, on the other hand, said they would have preferred to see Trump finish his term, with Trump leading by 33 percentage points in those areas in this poll.

This poll comes at a time when there are questions over whether Donald Trump would seek for re-election in the United States in 2024. Regardless of the previous impeachment proceedings against Trump, the data collected by this poll suggests that if he runs, he may have a good chance of regaining control of the White House.

“The collapse of Biden has led to a surge for President Trump on all fronts both in the GOP primary and in a potential general election,” pollster Mark Penn was quoted by The Hill.

This statistic depicts the total opposite of what actually occurred in the 2020 US presidential election. Due to his strong presence in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, Joe Biden won the elections by over seven million votes last year.

The current poll aligns with a Quinnipiac University poll released in October 2021, which found that nearly 80% of Republicans want former President Donald Trump to run in the US election in 2024.
