TWITTER EMPLOYEES TO HEAR FROM MUSK THIS WEEK

News Desk Tech World

Tue 14 June 2022:

Tesla CEO Elon Musk will talk to Twitter employees for the first time this week in an attempt to calm their anxieties and explain his goal.

According to Insider, Musk will attend a virtual conference with Twitter employees on Thursday to answer questions about his $44 billion takeover proposal, which he has placed on hold until he receives answers about the presence of bots on the microblogging network.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal reportedly announced the event in an email to staff, instructing them to submit questions for Musk ahead of time.

Twitter’s board of directors apparently planned to give Musk access to the vast “firehose” data stream of more than 500 million tweets produced each day earlier this month.

Soon after making a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter in April, Musk has been asking for information about spam and fake accounts.

He even threatened to walk away from the deal if the company fails to provide the data.

To end the standoff with the billionaire, Twitter board has plans to comply with access to data that he says is necessary to evaluate the number of fake users on the platform.

According to the article, the information might be supplied as soon as this week, according to the individual who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The information includes not only a real-time record of tweets, but also information about the devices from which they tweet, as well as information about the accounts that tweet.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk previously stated that he does not trust Twitter’s findings that bogus or spam accounts account for less than 5% of its monetisable daily active users (229 million).
