Sun 28 August 2022:

It has been a year since US troops abandoned their posts in Afghanistan, handing the country over to the Taliban. US forces, its allies, and countless other dependents were left battling Taliban during the complex withdrawal.

A documentary has now revealed that a US Army colonel prevented the evacuation of several allies, essentially driving them into the killing zones, during the withdrawal.

Reportedly, in a new documentary titled, “Send Me” directed by Nick Palmisciano, the members of a special operations volunteer team have revealed that an unnamed Colonel ‘murdered’ the passengers of five buses by not allowing them to board the planes that could have allowed them to leave Kabul.

The documentary outlines a dangerous rescue mission undertaken by the group as the Taliban rapidly retook control of the country after a nearly 20-year US war and occupation. Robichaux, Kennedy and 10 others had snapped into action as Kabul fell on Aug. 15, 2021, according to the documentary.

“There was a colonel who came out and wanted to show that essentially he was the one that could decide whether or not somebody could get on a plane or not,” stated a witness, whose identity was concealed in the documentary.

Meanwhile, MMA fighter turned-solider Tim Kennedy, who was part of the 13-member group tasked with the job of saving as many allies as possible added: “The colonel made the call to ‘put everybody back out’. I don’t care who they are, they get back on those buses and those buses go back into Kabul.”

It is pertinent to note that passengers of the five buses had verified documents. They were carefully searched and vetted by the Marines and arrived at the US-controlled Black Gate on the fateful day of August 25, 2021 around 3 AM.

The 82nd Airborne division’s chief Colonel, however, forbade them or the buses transporting them from entering. Even migrants with US passports were turned away by the Colonel because he believed they might be fake.

A call was made to North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis in a desperate bid to spare the lives of the refugees on the buses. Further encouraging the army generals to act, the Republican leader. However, by that point, the situation outside the airport had deteriorated to the point where the refugees’ futures were all but sealed.

The documentary is currently playing in a few theaters and on Amazon Prime.
