32% OF YOUNG JEWS ABROAD SYMPATHISE WITH HAMAS: SURVEY

An Israeli survey conducted by Mosaic United Foundation for the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and the Fight Against Antisemitism revealed that 32 per cent of young Jews living abroad sympathise with Hamas.

The survey results, published on Monday evening, showed that 36 per cent of young Jews outside Israel believe Tel Aviv is committing genocide in Gaza.

The data also highlighted significant differences between Jewish youth in the United States and those in other countries regarding their perspectives on the Gaza conflict and Hamas.

According to the findings, 37 per cent of young American Jews express sympathy for Hamas, compared to just seven per cent of their peers in other countries. Similarly, 42 per cent of young American Jews believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, while only nine per cent of Jewish youth in other countries share this view.

Approximately 8.5 million Jews live outside Israel, with about 6.3 million residing in the United States alone, according to the latest figures from the Jewish agency, published in October 2024.

Israeli media outlets, including Channel 14 and the newspaper Israel Hayom, described these figures as “concerning.”
