A news conference was organized last week by academics and researchers from the National Autonomous University of Mexico to offer proof that the fossils presented by Jaime Maussan, which were alleged to belong to non-human species, do not suggest the possibility of being aliens.

Scientists claimed at the meeting that the carbon-14 tests performed on the fragments were not representative of a coherent whole because they were derived from entities from various historical periods.
Furthermore, these academics and researchers emphasized that the exhibited mummies should undergo tests trusted by the scientific community and accused ufologist Jaime Maussan of using science for political purposes.
Physics professor Alejandro Frank, who attended the meeting, accused ufologist Jaime Maussan of being a charlatan.
Last week, Maussan presented two mummified specimens to the Mexican Congress that he claims are the bodies of extraterrestrial beings.
At the congressional session, Maussan invited military personnel, air traffic controllers, and astronomers to support his theory.

The two small, chalky mummies, with elongated heads and only three fingers on each hand, stunned not only the parliamentarians but many people who watched on TV and online as the drama unfolded.
Since then, critics have continued to claim that the bodies have been repeatedly discredited as fakes by scientists and experts.
‘Creations made of animal and human bones’
The Peruvian Attorney General’s Office, together with the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, had launched an investigation years earlier, when the bodies were found.
The investigation found that the figures were “recently manufactured”.
“Creations made of animal and human bones joined together with synthetic glue. These in turn were covered with a mixture of plant fibres and synthetic glue to simulate a type of skin,” the report added.
