Thu 02 March 2023:
Another suspicious ball about 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) wide has been found in a cave near the coastline on Tokunoshima island in Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture, with the object already examined by the local police, media reported on Thursday.
According to the media, the ball was discovered on February 28, but experts examined it only the day before. Local police officers confirmed that the object was hollow and there was no threat of an explosion.
The surface of the ball is almost completely covered with rust. In the center of the ball there is a soldering line, on one of the sides there are arcs similar in shape to loops. When tapped, a sound was heard, which is obtained when knocking on a hollow metal object, noted in MBC.

Experts from the local administration interviewed by the TV channel suggested that the found ball could be similar to the one that was discovered last month on the coast in Shizuoka Prefecture.
On February 21, the police restricted access to Enshuhama Beach in the city of Hamamatsu after a suspicious ball of about 1.5 meters in diameter, believed to be made of metal, was found on the shore.
Over the past month, various spherical objects of unknown purpose have been discovered in different parts of the world. So, on February 10, the US military spotted a balloon in the airspace over Alaska, after which it was shot down. The object was tracked for 24 hours and shot down on the US border with Canada – over the northeastern part of Alaska.
