Tue 19 April 2022:
Apple’s iOS15.4 release included 37 brand new emojis, which sparked a debate among consumers (and non users alike). A ‘pregnant man’ and a gender-neutral individual with a crown were among the emoticons presented by the tech giant. The pregnant man emoji now comes in a variety of skin tones.
The March update was met with much criticism, primarily from conservatives. The majority of users are outraged by the company’s decision to embrace gender neutrality and fluidity as ‘woke’ appeasing.
There is no such thing as a š«š¼ pregnant man @apple! You are promoting mental illness in all your wokeness! Give me a break!

The pregnant man and “pregnant person” emojis were first released in January as part of an optional upgrade, but they have now been made available to all users with the iOS 15.4 update.
A new speech option for Siri, as well as the ability to deliver time and date information offline, changes to Safari web page translations with support for Italian and Chinese, and more are all included in iOS 15.4.
iPhone owners may now unlock their iPhones while wearing face masks, thanks to the newest update. But this new feature is only available on iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max.
The Unicode Consortium updated Unicode 14.0 with all these new emojis in September 2021 to be rolled out in various devices. The updates added 838 characters including 37 new emojis. āMelting Faceā, āPregnant Personā, āTrollā, āBiting Lipsā etc made the final cut of aĀ draft list. Check the complete Unicode 14.0 list of new emojisĀ here.
The emojis were first introduced in the Apple devices in Jan 2022 as an optional update.
