Sat 16 April 2022:

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is internally testing new MacBook models with next-generation M2 processors.

According to the company’s developer logs, third-party apps are being used for testing.

It comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the business is working on developing more powerful computers based on in-house chips.

According to the report, the corporation may release the new products in the coming months.

Apple is currently testing at least nine Mac models with four distinct M2-based chips.

The M2 chips are the successors to the M1 line of processors, which were introduced in 2020 to speed up machine learning (ML) processes.

Following the company’s separation with Intel Corp, Apple has steadily replaced its chips with a more modern range.

Apple is also a Mac mini with an M1 Pro Chip, according to the logs, which were corroborated by people familiar with the matter.

According to the source, Apple used the same processor in the entry-level 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

In March, Apple revealed a faster CPU for a new desktop. During the coronavirus pandemic over the last two years, its Mac division has revived.

The corporation earned $35.2 billion in sales in the previous fiscal year. This represents roughly 10% of Apple’s total revenue.
