Tue 12 October 2021:
According to a report, China has rejected efforts from the World Health Organization (WHO) to check bat caves and animal breeding farms in order to further investigate the origins of the COVID pandemic.
WHO sought to conduct investigations in Enshi, a six-hour drive from Wuhan, which was the world’s first major epicenter of coronavirus outbreak, according to the Washington Post.
China has always resisted international calls for a full probe into the origins of the COVID outbreak within its borders. While in China, a WHO delegation made observations, but members were restricted from moving about. The team had emphasized the need for more observations towards the conclusion of their examination.
Coronavirus was not a biological weapon, US intelligence services told US President Joe Biden in August, although it may have been generated by natural transmission or a lab breach.
China has categorically denied that the coronavirus originated there.
Animal farms in the Wuhan area came to light after it was discovered that animals from these farms were being sold at Wuhan’s wet markets despite the fact that such a sale was illegal.
