Turkey has so far delivered aid to at least 57 countries around the globe, while fighting the virus domestically with weekend lockdowns, quarantines and social isolation.
Turkey’s Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın stated that the plane to be sent to the West Bank and Gaza was prepared upon the instructions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“By the instruction of President Erdoğan, medical supplies including masks, overalls and test kits will be sent to Palestine for distribution in the West Bank and Gaza. Turkey will continue to stand by the Palestinian people. Keep humanity alive so that people can live,” he wrote on Twitter.

“If you can feel pain, you’re alive, if you can feel the pain of others, you’re human,” Erdoğan said on April 13, by stating his country shares what it has with all friends.
Palestine has so far reported 343 infected cases with two deaths, according to Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
After originating in China last December, COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus, has spread to at least 185 countries and regions across the world. Europe and the US are currently the worst-hit regions.
