HEALTH PASS BECOMES MANDATORY FOR EMPLOYEES IN FRANCE

Coronavirus (COVID-19) News Desk World

Mon 30 August 2021:

Around two million workers in restaurants and other service industries in France will now be required to display a health card in order to work.

This is part of the French government’s response to the pandemic of coronavirus. A worker must apparently have confirmation of vaccination, a negative test result, or recovery from coronavirus illness in order to acquire a pass.

The COVID-19 health pass is certified documentation with a QR code that verifies a person has received the immunization. Many French bars, restaurants, museums, and sports arenas won’t let you in unless you have a valid health card.

For weeks, there have been violent rallies over the health pass mandate.

Despite the fact that the majority of French people have been vaccinated against COVID-19, demonstrators claim that the health pass discriminates against those who have not and infringes on people’s rights.

Protesters have been taking to the streets across France for many weekends.
