Sun 05 December 2021:
After two states amended their fatality numbers, India reported the most single-day COVID-19 deaths since July on Sunday.
On Sunday, the eastern state of Bihar had 2,426 unrecorded deaths, while the southern state of Kerala recorded 263 deaths, according to a federal health ministry official.
According to a Reuters tally, single-day deaths rose to 2,796, the highest level since July 21.
Thousands of people died and millions were afflicted in a terrible second wave that hit in March and April of this year.
In recent months, Indian governments have continued to disclose undocumented COVID-19 deaths, supporting medical professionals’ claims that the actual number of deaths is significantly higher than the 473,326 reported.
