Wed 09 November 2022:

Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has announced the launch of a new ‘Schedule Posts’ feature as well as a new website design to improve user experience.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri made the news on his Twitter account by publishing a video detailing the new feature and upgrade.

‘Schedule Posts’ will allow the creators to schedule their posts for the next 75 days.

The new feature will be available to creators soon.

To schedule your posts on Instagram, here’s what you need to do:

  • Once created the desired post, go to Advanced Settings.
  • Tap the “Schedule this post” toggle.
  •  Select time and date when you want the post to go live on your feed.
  • Go back to the Instagram post flow.
  • Tap Schedule

The second announcement Mosseri made was the redesigned website.

“We know a lot of people use the web to multitask and we wanted to make sure Instagram was as great an experience as possible online,” said Mosseri.

“So it is cleaner, faster, easier to use and it is designed now to take advantage of large screen monitors,” he added.

Earlier, the social media platform had rolled out new features to protect users from abuse, along with updates to Hidden Words.

When you block someone, you have the option of blocking any extra accounts they may have in order to make it more difficult for them to communicate with you again, according to the company.

‘Hidden Words’ is a useful tool for automatically removing potentially harmful language from message requests and comments.
