ISRAEL REGISTERS LOWEST NUMBER OF HI-TECH FUNDRAISING DEALS IN DECADE

Israel registered 61 fundraising transactions by its hi-tech companies from July to August, the lowest over the past decade based on a quarterly calculation, according to an analysis published on Tuesday.

The analysis by IVC Data and Insights, a leading data source and business information company, showed that the total amount raised so far in the third quarter is 938 million US dollars, Xinhua news agency reported.

At the end of the third quarter, the number of deals and the total amount raised are both expected to be significantly lower compared to the figures in the second quarter this year and those in the third quarter of 2023, it said.

Meanwhile, based on an annual calculation, 386 deals were registered in the first eight months of this year, compared to 666 in the first nine months of 2023, it said.

The total amount raised in the first eight months of the year is 5.9 billion dollars, a figure not that bleak compared to 6.7 billion dollars in the first nine months of 2023, it added.
