The findings are under the water of Nile River in the southern Egyptian city of Aswan, belonging to King Amenhotep III, King Thutmose IV, King Psamtik II, and King Apries, the statement said.

Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Archaeological Archaeology, stated that the mission has started its first season work in the area around the islands of Fila Al-Al’ali and Konossos, and since these sculptures are still in a good condition, the mission was able to fully document the texts.
Dr. Hisham Alithi, head of the Egyptian Archaeological Preservation and Registration Sector, explained that during its work the mission has used all the modern techniques of diving, archaeological scanning, photography, underwater video and photogrammetry as well as archaeological drawing, in order to identify and document the remaining rock carvings on the surface.
The Conossus rocks either underwater or partially submerged in the waters of the Nile, this is in compliance with the directives of the Minister of Tourism and Archaeological Archaeological to emphasize the necessity of following all internationally followed scientific procedures and regulations in dealing with archaeological findings and discoveries.

The statement added that initial studies indicated the possibility of discovering new information about Ancient Egypt’s history, especially about the Eighteenth Dynasty (1550 BC-1295 BC) and the Late Period.
