Mon 26 July 2021: According to the government of Mali, a man arrested on suspicion of being engaged in the failed assassination attempt on Interim President Assimi Goita has died. Authorities have ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death, although they have stated that it will not affect the investigation’s progress.
