According to a poll, more people in the United Kingdom believe the queen should retire rather than remain a monarch for life. For Times Radio, YouGov conducted the poll analysis.
According to the poll, one out of every three people thinks the queen should step down.
This study’s polling began two years ago. More over half of the population thought the queen should stay on the throne for the rest of her life at the time.

However, latest survey shows a different picture. 34 per cent are saying that the queen should retire while 49 per cent, in other words, less than half think that she should continue.
Queen Elizabeth made a rare public appearance on Friday (May 13) just few days after she pulled out of opening of the parliament due to bad health. She pulled out from the ceremony for the first time in 60 years.
The 96-year-old monarch was seen smiling as she arrived at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, dressed in a white shirt, blue cardigan, and tinted glasses.
She spoke to a group of people through the open window of her Range Rover before donning a headscarf and went to the royal box with a walking stick.
According to British media sources, the lifelong horse lover spent over an hour at the show’s parade ring near her Windsor Castle property west of London.
The queen will not open parliament on Tuesday, according to Buckingham Palace, marking the first time she has missed the event since 1963.
