The acting minister of refugees and repatriation, Khalil Rahman Haqqani, said in a meeting with Shoko Shimozawa, from the UNHCR, that in the past year, more than one million migrants have returned to the country.
He also said that the Islamic Emirate has dealt with them with respect and has provided them with resettlement assistance.

Shimozawa said she has shared the problems of Afghan migrants with the ministries of interior and foreign affairs of Pakistan and suggested that identity cards of migrants in Pakistan be renewed.
1,000 Afghan migrants daily
Based on statistics of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, hundreds of people have been forcibly deported from Pakistan in the last two days.
Some migrants who recently returned to the country say that the Pakistani police extorts money from refugees and humiliated, insults and tortures them.
“They oppressed us,” said Baz Mohammad, who returned from Pakistan. “They seized our property. They kicked us out. We have good facilities here. We received five meals and honor.”
The government of Pakistan started the forced deportation of illegal refugees about two and a half months ago. More than 500,000 have returned so far.
