Tue 28 June 2022:
A gruesome murder in broad daylight reported from a crowded street in Udaipur on Tuesday has triggered tension in Lake City after the murderers posted a video on social media claiming to teach a lesson to the victim for putting up a social media post.
As per the police, the victim, a tailor by profession, was attacked by a sharp-edged weapon. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Sources said that the victim was hacked to death for supporting now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in a social media post over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammed.
The police have reached the spot and further investigation is underway.
In the viral video, one of the two accused could be heard saying, “I will make the video viral when I accomplish my goal to teach a lesson to the accused who has shown disrespect to our Prophet.”
And then they apparently posted this video. #Udaipur pic.twitter.com/Eb5uh7SbMX

In Hyderabad, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also condemned the murder calling for the rule of law to be maintained.
“No one can take law into their own hands. We demand that the state govt takes strictest possible action,” Owaisi tweeted.
I condemn the gruesome murder in Udaipur Rajasthan. There can be no justification for it. Our party’s consistent stand is to oppose such violence. No one can take law in their own hands. We demand that the state govt takes strictest possible action. Rule of law must be upheld 1/3

Earlier this month, the BJP suspended its spokeswoman Nupur Sharma and expelled another leader, Naveen Kumar Jindal, for their controversial comments about the Prophet’s private life that also triggered a diplomatic backlash from Muslim countries.
Several Muslim leaders, including those of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan, sought apologies from New Delhi and summoned diplomats to protest the remarks.
The influential 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said in a statement that the insults came in the context of an increasingly intense atmosphere of hatred towards Islam in India and systematic harassment of Muslims.
