The president of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has denied reports linking Liverpool’s Egyptian international Mohamed Salah with a move to the French club, Anadolu has reported.
In recent weeks, Salah has made multiple statements about his contract with Liverpool FC, which expires next summer. He has said that no negotiations with the club’s management have taken place so far, fuelling speculation about his potential departure from Anfield. Amid stalled talks over extending his contract, reports have suggested that Salah has attracted interest from some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Qatar-owned PSG.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Tuesday, Al-Khelaifi praised the Egyptian forward but dismissed rumours of any club interest in signing him.
“It’s not true,” Al-Khelaifi insisted. “He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumour about us is simply not true.”
Nevertheless, Al-Khelaifi hinted that the club might explore opportunities in January if favourable deals arise. “If there’s an opportunity [to sign players in January], we will of course explore it,” he said.
French media on Monday reported that Salah had started discussions with PSG about a potential free transfer next summer when his contract ends. The reports also claimed that the 32-year-old was open to the move, with a “strong possibility” of playing at Parc des Princes next season.
They added that PSG is eager to strengthen its attacking options and has been considering other targets, including Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Englishman Jadon Sancho and Spaniard Nico Williams, for a summer transfer in 2025.
