SUPERVOLCANO COULD ERUPT IN A CATASTROPHIC MANNER, WARN SCIENTISTS

A volcanic eruption is a geological phenomenon that occurs when lava and tephra are violently ejected onto the surface of the earth along with volcanic gases.

Since volcanoes play a very important role in regulating the temperature inside the globe, without these enormous mountains with openings in the middle, allow the Earth to eject the magma, and if these did not exist, life on the planet would not be like now,

In this case, the volcano in concern is the Campos Flégreos volcano, which is referred to have a “huge volcanic caldera” with multiple craters and half of its surface covered by water. Nine kilometers to the northwest of Naples, Italy, is where this volcano is situated.

According to scientists, it is expected to erupt after many years, but this eruption would bring a possible fracture in the structure of the huge volcano, with the risk that the magma escapes through there and endangers countless residents of Naples, “if not all of them”.

It should be noted that Naples is the most populous city in southern Italy, capital of the homonymous metropolitan city and of the Campania region. Also, it is the third Italian municipality by population, having 955,428 inhabitants.

The eruption of this volcano would be so disastrous that something similar to the volcano of Mount Vesuvius could occur: “nobody lived to tell about it.”

The only thing that is known about this tragedy is that it happened in the year 79, leaving Pompeii in ruins. It was one of the most famous, catastrophic and deadly volcanic eruptions in European history.

Volcanoes, without a doubt, benefit the world and, obviously, those who live on it, but they are so destructive that they can destroy everything in their path, especially when supervolcanoes erupt.

Supervolcanoes are known for being the most violent due to their huge eruptions, and if the Popocatépetl volcano causes fear, its eruption would be twice as powerful.
