TALIBAN WELCOMES WORLD BANK REPORT ON AFGHANISTAN’S ECONOMY

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in a statement has welcomed the recent report of the World Bank on Afghanistan’s economic situation.

In response to the recent World Bank report on Afghanistan’s economic situation, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has issued a statement acknowledging the report’s accurate and positive aspects while cautioning against elements not grounded in reality.

These developments include an upswing in exports compared to the previous year, an appreciation of the Afghani against foreign currencies, a reduction in prices, an increase in revenue, and an uptick in import volume, indicating improved purchasing power among the population.

Taliban Deputy Prime Minister’s Office commends the World Bank for highlighting these positive aspects of Afghanistan’s economic progress.

However, it also calls for a realistic assessment of the situation, urging international institutions to ensure that their reports accurately reflect the ground realities.
