New Appointments Announced
The reshuffle saw Mahmoud Thabit Kombo appointed as the new Minister for Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation. Kombo, who was previously Tanzania’s ambassador to Italy, has also been made a member of parliament.
Jerry Silaa has replaced Nnauye as the new Minister of Information, Communication, and Information Technology. Silaa was formerly the Minister of Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements Development.
Deogratius John Ndejembi has taken over as the Minister of Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements Development, moving from his role as Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities.
Additional Cabinet Changes
Ridhiwani Kikwete has been appointed as Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office. He previously served as Deputy Minister of State in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance.
Cosatto Chumi has been named Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Mabrouk Nassor Mabrouk, who will be assigned new duties.
Deus Clement Sangu has been appointed Deputy Minister in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance, and Dennis Lazaro Londa will serve as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, replacing Stephen Lujwahuka Byabato.

Reshuffle Reflects Consolidation Efforts
The reshuffle also included appointments of permanent secretaries and district administrative heads. Eliakim Chacha Maswi has become the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs, while Mary Gaspar Makondo has been appointed as the Regional Administrative Secretary for the Ruvuma region.
