TURKISH INTELLIGENCE THWARTED 2 ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS ON HANIYEH

Turkish media has reported that Turkish intelligence thwarted two assassination attempts on martyr Ismail Haniyeh.

One of these attempts occurred during his visit to Istanbul following the martyrdom of his children, and the other took place while he was in Doha.

According to reports, the Turkish intelligence agency heightened security measures during Haniyeh’s stay in Istanbul and worked to prevent assassination attempts. Additionally, another attack attempt on Haniyeh in Doha was also foiled.

The report indicates that the intelligence agency advised Haniyeh before his visit to Tehran to avoid using phone, internet, or road travel, as there was a risk of Mossad agents orchestrating an assassination.

Some suspicious activities have been detected against Haniyeh, who came to Turkey after the killing of his family members. Following this situation, MİT increased the security measures around Haniyeh and created a “steel shield”. Turkish intelligence’s sensitivity on this issue continued in Qatar as well. A Hamas official stated that Haniyeh’s assassination attempts in Istanbul and Doha failed thanks to the preventive measures taken by MİT.

The claim regarding the issue was confirmed by the TBMM Administrative Officer and the Chairman of the Turkey-Palestine Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Hasan Turan.

Hasan Turan said , “When Haniye came to visit our country, high-level protection was provided and the groups targeting her were prevented from achieving their treacherous goals. The protection of guests visiting foreign countries is both the duty and the reputation of that country. MIT always carries out its activities with this awareness .” Turan said, ” Haniye was the target of Zionist gangs and the intelligence organizations that stand by them. These assassinations were prevented with the timely and appropriate interventions of MIT . “

Additionally, it was learned that Haniye and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah were invited by Iran within the framework of a similar protection protocol. However, after Nasrallah was removed from the invitation list, Turkish officials warned Haniye and Hamas and reported the situation. There is no information as to whether this warning to Haniye and Hamas was shared with the Tehran administration.
