UAE-BASED BUSINESSWOMAN SHIPPED HOLY KAABA’S CLOTH TO JEFFREY EPSTEIN, FILES REVEAL

Tue 03 February 2026:

In the most recent release of the Epstein Files from the US Department of Justice (DOJ), emails reveal that a shipment of the cloth of the holy Kaaba was shipped to Jeffrey Epstein’s residence in the US via a UAE-based businesswoman.

An email correspondence found in the Epstein Files details a shipment of the Kiswa, the black and gold embroidered cloth which shrouds the Kaaba in Makkah’s Masjid al-Haram, which was arranged to be delivered to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein via UAE-linked contacts.

The email exchange, dated February and March 2017, shows UAE-based businesswoman Aziza al-Ahmadi working with a man called Abdullah al-Maari to organise the shipment of three selected pieces from the Kiswa.

The Kiswa holds a deeply religious significance for Muslims worldwide, with millions of pilgrims making long journeys to Makkah to carry out Umrah and Hajj rituals, many of which are centred around the Kaaba.

Each year, the cloth is removed from the Kaaba and replaced with a new one, with the previous Kiswa being treated as a highly valuable and significant collectable artefact.

Kiswa shipment to Epstein

The emails reveal that a portion of the Kiswa was shipped by air freight from Saudi Arabia to Florida via British Airways, with proof of the detailed logistics which went into the shipment, including invoices, customs arrangements, and delivery within the US.

The messages highlight three separate pieces of the Kiswa which were sent to Epstein: one from inside the Kaaba, one from the outer covering, and a last piece that was made from the same materials but not used.

The emails describe how the third unused piece was used as a way to bypass customs and shipment restrictions, so that the shipment could be classified under “artworks”.

The shipment is believed to have arrived at Epstein’s home in March 2017, almost ten years after he had served prison time and registered as a convicted child sex offender.

One of the emails covers in extensive detail the features of the Kiswa that Epstein would be receiving, with explanations of different verses of the Qur’an, Arabic calligraphy, and where pilgrims would touch it.

Email from the Epstein Files explaining the Kiswa features.

“The black piece was touched by a minimum of 10 million Muslims of different denominations, Sunni, Shia and others,” Ahmadi detailed.

“They walk around the Kaaba seven rounds then everyone tries as much as they can to touch it and they kept their prayers, wishes, tears and hopes on this piece. Hoping after that all their prayers to be accepted,” she added.

Aziza al-Ahmadi’s connection to Epstein

There is no explanation of why the Kiswa was shipped to Epstein in the first place, or how Ahmadi came to know him.

Ahmadi is seen sending many emails to Epstein and his secretary related to different matters. In one set of messages, Ahmadi checks on Epstein’s personal wellbeing after Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean in September 2017, where his private island suffered damage.

Ahmadi repeatedly contacted Epstein’s secretary over several days to enquire about his wellbeing.

It is unknown if Ahmadi had ever visited Epstein’s island, Little Saint James, which was used as a headquarters of operations for Epstein’s sex-trafficking crimes.

Few emails show Ahmadi communicating directly with Epstein. She was sent a DNA testing kit by Lesley Groff, Epstein’s long-time assistant, though it is unclear for what purpose.

The recent release of the Epstein Files has implicated many figures from the Muslim world, namely the Gulf, who were involved in personal, business, political and intelligence relations with Jeffrey Epstein himself.

Other Emirati figures such as UAE leader Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) are mentioned in light of the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the 2017 blockade of Qatar.

Messages from Epstein to a man named Anas al-Rashid read: “Smells like something bigger to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if MBZ set him up,” referring to MBZ setting up Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
