Sun 19 September 2021:
Despite the airline’s lack of proof, British boxer Amir Khan claimed on Saturday that he was removed off an American Airlines flight for allegedly breaking COVID-19 mask restrictions.
After someone complained that his friend’s mask “was not high enough,” the 34-year-old said cops pulled him and his colleague from the US flight.
Khan said he was going to a training camp in Colorado Springs in a video uploaded on Twitter, but that he had to reschedule his trip.
Disgusted to be banned by @AmericanAir and @traveloneworld for not been able to fly to training camp, i got escorted by police off the plane for no reason. I would like to see evidence for any wrong doings! #AAteam #Notallterrorists pic.twitter.com/dL3UfFcYYl

“I find it so disgusting and disrespectful,” Khan says in the video. “I was so disgusted that American Airlines would do this to me and ban me from traveling.”
“Now I have to reschedule another airplane to travel back to training camp which is really upsetting, for no reason this was,” he added.
The plane was forced to return to the gate, according to the airline, after two people allegedly “refused to comply with crew requests.” It denied that the cops were involved.
A spokesman for the airline told BBC that their customer relations team had reached out to the boxer to learn more about his experience.
“Our customer relations team is reaching out to Mr Khan to learn more about his experience and reinforce the importance of policies implemented for the safety of our customers and crew.”
The airline has not banned Khan or his coworker, according to the official.
