Sun 23 January 2022:
A man from the United States was discovered dead at his home, surrounded by snakes, in a shocking incident. The 49-year-old guy was encircled by at least 125 snakes in Charles County, Maryland, including highly toxic cobras and black mambas. Pythons were also discovered on the premises. At the scene, the unidentified male was pronounced deceased.
A 14-foot Burmese python was the largest snake.
Charles County says it found 125+ snakes in a Pomfret, MD man’s home. The man was found dead yesterday. No cause of death given yet. County says neighbors had no idea the snakes were even there. Some were venemous, some weren’t. (@wusa9 link: https://t.co/tGfps4cJaj) pic.twitter.com/VWkpgOdn9u

the man, who officials have not identified, apparently lived alone and his neighbors were unaware he had snakes in his home. It’s illegal to possess venomous snakes in Maryland.
According to the police, the man’s neighbor called them. After not seeing him for an entire day, his neighbor decided to check on him. When he arrived at his home, he saw the man unconscious on the floor.
Charles County Animal Control is trying to rescue all the reptiles found at the scene. A spokeswoman for the centre told BBC, “All of the snakes were placed with out-of-state organisations with the proper authority, permits and/or licenses.”
Some of the animals would be adopted privately by licensed handlers, she noted.
The cause of death is unknown at this time. The police, on the other hand, claim that there is no indication of “foul play.”
There will also be a post-mortem examination.
