Fri 21 November 2025:
A controversial American private military firm with a record of involvement in violence and killing at aid distribution sites in Gaza is actively recruiting ex-soldiers for a new deployment to the besieged Palestinian territory, according to a report by Drop Site News.
UG Solutions, a US-based military subcontractor previously hired to provide security for the notorious Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), is intensifying recruitment for what it describes as “robust security” roles in Gaza. The company reportedly plans to open as many as 15 new aid distribution sites under President Donald Trump’s proposal which includes an international stabilisation force.
A former US army officer who interviewed for a role with UG Solutions said the firm aimed to deploy recruits by December. Contracts are said to offer up to $1,000 per day for armed guard duty. Candidates were reportedly told the mission involved “pulling security” in Gaza aid zones. Internal emails seen by Drop Site News indicate the company is prequalifying candidates for operations in “high-threat environments.”

The recruitment campaign follows the 17 November UN Security Council resolution authorising an international stabilisation force in Gaza. The force will not be under UN command but instead report to a new entity known as the “Board of Peace,” chaired by President Trump. This board has been granted authority over Gaza’s security, reconstruction and humanitarian operations.
Jennifer Counter, UG Solutions’ vice president of government affairs, confirmed the company is “preparing for a wide range of scenarios,” including “a robust security presence in support of humanitarian aid delivery.” She added that the firm was in ongoing discussions with relevant stakeholders.
Between May and October, when GHF operated in Gaza with UG Solutions contractors, over 2,600 Palestinians were killed and more than 19,000 injured at or near aid distribution sites. Video footage and testimonies indicated that guards deployed by UG Solutions used live ammunition and stun grenades during aid distribution.
Anthony Aguilar, a former contractor with UG Solutions, resigned over the company’s conduct. Aguilar referred to the aid distribution sites as “death traps” and accused the firm of participating in serious abuses.
Reports are also circulating about a set of measures introduced by Israel to further fragment Gaza, which include expanding mobile phone access, restricting cash circulation, and implementing financial penalties on Palestinian banks. These changes are part of a broader effort, analysts say, to restructure Gaza’s economy and society through digital systems and surveillance mechanisms.

There are a couple of things happening simultaneously in the Gaza Strip, all of which are odd but connected.

The reconstruction plan reportedly includes the development of gated communities in eastern Gaza, the area most heavily damaged during the genocide. The rebuilt zones are expected to operate under strict Israeli oversight, including control over movement, trade and financial transactions. Merchants authorised by Israel would be allowed to operate within these zones, with transactions conducted through digital credit systems.
These measures are seen as part of a broader initiative to manage Gaza through economic and geographic segmentation. As part of this system, trade, mobility, and access to resources would depend on digital vetting, potentially leading to the creation of elite classes and internal displacement from less-serviced to more heavily controlled areas.
Since the ceasefire agreement on 10 October, Israel has continued to carry out attacks in Gaza and limited the entry of aid trucks.
