On Monday, the messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, debuted a new layer of security called “Accidental delete.”
Everyone has experienced the awkward circumstance of unintentionally selecting “Delete for Me” rather than “Delete for Everyone” when sending a message to the wrong individual or group, according to the company.
The Accidental delete feature will assist customers in resolving this issue by giving them a five-second window to undo the accidental message deletion and click on “Delete for Everyone.”
The Accidental delete feature is available to all users on Android and iPhone devices.
The messaging service revealed the launch of a new “Message Yourself” function in India last month.
You can send notes, reminders, and updates to yourself in a 1:1 chat window. With the help of this function, users can manage their to-do lists on WhatsApp by sending themselves notes, reminders, shopping lists, and other items.
Also last week Whatsapp announced, that one of the future update of the Whatsapp will allow users to send “view once text” messages, according to reports,
When the function first launched, it supported both photographs and videos.
According to WABetaInfo, the functionality, which allows users to send messages that can only be viewed once before disappearing, is currently present in WhatsApp’s Android beta version.
