Video of Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu being hit indirectly by a tomato during a campaign visit has been widely shared on social media for the past 24 hours.
The video shows Netanyahu during a visit to the Hatikva Market in Tel Aviv with his wife Sara ahead of general elections next week when a woman steps closer and hits him with a tomato, yet it does not hit him and was blocked by a large number of security officers surrounding him.
Meanwhile, the Likud party accused Netanyahu’s chief political rival, Benny Gantz, of spreading the video on the internet.
