Tue 31 January 2023:
WhatsApp, a messaging app is introducing longer group subjects and descriptions on Android beta.
According to WABetainfo, these updates will enable users to more accurately describe groups.
The group subject’s character limit has been raised from 25 to 100 to give group administrators greater leeway when naming their groups.
It will be simpler to determine the group’s aim.
With the new change, the platform is also increasing the group description from 512 characters to 2048 characters.
This will provide more space for group admins to add important details and information about the group.
The ability to choose a longer group subject and description is available for users that install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update from the Play Store, the report said.
WHATSAPP: SOON YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEND IMAGES IN ORIGINAL QUALITY
At the meantime, it was reported earlier this month that the messaging service was developing a new function that would enable users to exchange photographs in their original resolution.
In order to provide users more control over the quality of the images they transmit, especially when delivering the photo in its original quality is required, the platform plans to integrate a new setting icon under the drawing tool header. This icon will allow users to customize the quality of any photo.
