Palestinian president hails Turkish president’s ‘supportive position’ to Palestinian cause
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan “on the victory of his Justice and Development (AK) Party in local elections”.
WAFA, the official Palestinian news agency, said that Abbas spoke to Erdogan over the phone.
Abbas also hailed the Turkish president’s “supportive position” to the Palestinian cause.
Erdogan, for his part, thanked Abbas for the call and wished happiness and prosperity for the Palestinians.
