At least six mosques and over a dozen of houses and shops belong to Muslims were vandalised by Hindutva groups RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal across Tripura during protests against Bangladesh violence on Thursday.
Photos and videos accessed by Maktoob show violent right wing mobs who wear saffron and carry swords raising anti-Muslim slogans during protests organised by Viswa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Bajrang Dal, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Safiqur Rahman, an activist associated to Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) said to Maktoob that at least six mosques were attacked by Hindutva assailants since Wednesday.
A mosque was burnt in Maharani region in Gomathi district’s Udaipur, he confirmed to Maktoob. A government order say Section 144 imposed in the region following call for anti-Muslim violence by Hindutva groups.
Mosques in Krishnagar, Dharmanagar, Panisagar, Chandrapur were also vandalised by saffron wearing youths on Thursday.

According to Tripura Infoways website, participants of a rally brought out by Vishwa Hindu Parishad broke window glasses and CCTV cameras of Krishnagar Jama Masjid.
Mosque in Panisagar in North Tripura district was burnt by Hindu violent mob at 1am on Friday, Rahman said to Maktoob.

In Kailashahar, a locality near to Tripura’s capital city Agartala, a mob surrounding the mosque shouted “Jai Shri Ram” and placed a saffron flag.
“These all happened during the protests against communal violence in Bangladesh,” Rahman said.
Students Islamic Organisation Tripura, a Muslim student group in the northeast state, urged the authorities to take strict action against attackers and ensure the safety to Muslims in the state.

“We strongly condemn the brutal attack and vandalisation on Advocate Abdul Basit Khan’s house and a mosque (on Waqf land) adjacent to his house by a Hindutva radicalised mob, today,” the Muslim group said in a statement on Thursday.
The attack on Muslim lawyer’s house in Dharmanagar in North Tripura district widely condemned by the Muslim groups in state.

In kailashahar, Hindu groups placed a saffron flag infront of house belonged to Abdul Mannan, a prominent business man in the region.

The anti-Muslim attacks are well-planned, according to a local Muslim activist Sultan.
Responding to the attacks against Muslim minorities in the state, TIPRA chief Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma said “any motivated acts in our state where minorities are attacked as a retaliation to what has happened in Bangladesh must be condemned.”
The politician also appealed for peace amongst all religions in the state.
