Mon 01 June 2026:
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Monday announced that he would return to India on June 6 to launch a peaceful protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination-related failures, including the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.
He alleged that more than one crore students had been affected by examination-related controversies, citing NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC GD candidates.
In a video posted on X, Dipke called on students, youth and his supporters to join him in Delhi, arguing that repeated examination irregularities had affected the future of millions of students across the country.

“Because of the paper leak, NEET students have died by suicide and the hard work of lakhs of students has been ruined. Dharmendra Pradhan must resign for this,” Dipke said.
Claiming that over eight lakh people had signed a petition seeking Pradhan’s resignation, Dipke said protests had already taken place in several cities, including Lucknow, Jaipur, Maharashtra and Delhi.
“Students are extremely anxious and worried about their future. Someone has to take responsibility. If the Education Minister does not resign even after such a massive blunder, it means there is no accountability left in this country,” he said.
Dipke further alleged that the system could commit repeated mistakes without facing consequences, while students were left to bear the impact. “All the consequences are for students. How long can this continue?” he asked.
Announcing his plans, Dipke said he would arrive in Delhi on June 6 and urged supporters to meet him at the airport. He said they would then approach Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.
“The Constitution of India gives us the right to peacefully raise our voice against what is wrong. We will raise our voice in accordance with the Constitution,” he said.
Addressing concerns that he could be detained upon arrival, Dipke said, “My friends and family fear that I may be arrested at the airport and sent to jail. But I still hope that our country remains a democracy and that we will be allowed to protest peacefully.”

He also said he had chosen to return to India despite receiving job offers in the United States. “I could have comfortably stayed in the United States and taken a job there, but I have decided to return to India because I love my country and want to do something for it,” he said.
Dipke urged supporters to join what he described as a peaceful and democratic movement “to save the future of millions of students.”
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), the satirical movement founded by Abhijeet Dipke, emerged in May 2026 after Chief Justice of India Surya Kant drew criticism over remarks during a Supreme Court hearing in which he was reported as comparing some unemployed young people, social media users and activists to “cockroaches” and “parasites” who attack the system.
During a hearing on May 15, Justice Kant was reported as saying, “There are youngsters like cockroaches, who don’t get any employment or have any place in the profession. Some of them become media, some of them become social media, RTI activists and other activists and they start attacking everyone.” He also reportedly referred to “parasites” attacking the system.
The remarks triggered widespread criticism amid concerns over youth unemployment, examination controversies and shrinking employment opportunities. Many young people viewed the comments as dismissive of their grievances, leading to the rapid spread of the slogan “Main Bhi Cockroach” (“I too am a cockroach”) across social media platforms.
Amid the controversy, Dipke and his supporters launched the Cockroach Janata Party as a satirical online movement focused on issues such as youth unemployment, examination irregularities, corruption and the cost of living.
The movement gained significant traction through memes, videos, AI-generated content and online campaigns, presenting itself as the voice of frustrated students and young job-seekers.
The movement later faced restrictions from authorities, with its X account and website reportedly blocked in India and Dipke alleged that the party’s official Instagram account and his personal Instagram account had been hacked. He also claimed that backup accounts were restricted or taken down and urged supporters not to trust content posted from compromised accounts.
Supporters argued that the actions reflected intolerance towards satire and dissent.
