Donald Trump height-shames London Mayor Sadiq Khan as he arrives for UK visit, calls him nasty

Donald Trump said that Sadiq Khan reminded him “very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC de Blasio”. The only difference, Trump said, was that Sadiq Khan was “only half” de Blasio’s height.

United States President Donald Trump on Sunday height-shamed London mayor Sadiq Khan just as he arrived in the United Kingdon for a three-day visit. Calling Sadiq Khan “nasty”, Donald Trump said the London Mayor is a “stone-cold loser”. When Donald Trump was asked about Sadiq Khan and if he would be willing to meet him, the United States president said that he does not think much of him. The US president also accused Sadiq Khan, as a mayor of London, of being “foolishly nasty to the visiting US presidents”.

In a tweet, Donald Trump said, “Sadiq Khan who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly ‘nasty’ to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone-cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me.” Donald Trump also said that Sadiq Khan reminded him “very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC de Blasio”. The only difference, Trump said, was that Sadiq Khan was “only half” de Blasio’s height. “[Sadiq] Khan reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job – only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!” Donald Trump tweeted.


US President Donald Trump and Melania Trump arrived in the UK on Monday for a three-day state visit. During his trip, Trump will meet Queen Elizabeth II and outgoing UK Prime Minister Theresa May amid widespread protests and demonstrations. Donald Trump will be given a tour of Westminster Abbey and will also meet Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall for tea at Clarence House. The Queen will then host a state banquet at Buckingham Palace for the Trumps. The Queen will be joined by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex will not attend the banquet following the birth of her son Archie, who is less than a month old.
