DUBAI UNVEILS WORLD’S FASTEST AND MOST EXPENSIVE AMBULANCE 1ST SEEN IN ‘FURIOUS 7’

According to the Emirates national media WAM, Dubai showcased the world’s fastest and most expensive “ambulance responder” at EXPO 2020 on Friday.

The car, dubbed the ‘HyperSport Responder,’ was manufactured by W Motors, a Dubai-based company best known for its Lykan HyperSport.

When the Lykan HyperSport made a appearance in the Hollywood blockbuster film Fast & Furious 7, it became a worldwide sensation.

One of only seven Lykan HyperSport cars in the world, the HyperSport Responder can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres an hour in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 400kph, powered by its twin-turbocharged 780-horsepower Porsche engine.

Khalifa Al-Dari, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, explained that Dubai has always been associated with its distinction with many features that are unique in the world, while the launch of this car comes as a symbol of Dubai’s uniqueness among the largest and most important cities in the world, while the car is not devoid of practical benefit from In terms of its extraordinary speed, which serves to reach emergency situations that need high-speed intervention.  

According to the WAM report, the responder vehicle costs $3.5 million (AED 13 million) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 400 kilometers per hour.

The supercar’s exterior features the slogan “Dubai, the world’s best city to live in” and the logo of DubaiDestinations, an initiative to highlight the emirate’s unique experiences and activities.

Valued at Dh13 million ($3.5m), the car will be used as a first responder.

It has a hand-made carbon-fibre body and is equipped with many futuristic features, including the world’s first 3D hologram holographic mid-air display with interactive motion control, a satellite navigation and a system that connects to the internet.

According to WAM, it has 440 diamonds lined in the front LED headlights, a gold-plated interior roof, and gold stitched leather interior upholstery.

“The car’s speed and capabilities can significantly reduce response time during emergencies and ensure timely intervention,” said Khalifa bin Darrai, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) in the original WAM report.

According to reports, the DCAS fleet now has 331 cars that respond to crises across the emirate.
