GOOGLE SEARCHES ABOUT CRYPTO DROP IN RANK COMPARED TO AI-RELATED KEYWORDS: REPORT

The results of Google searches this year seem to imply that people throughout the world are still incredibly fascinated by artificial intelligence (AI). Google searches for cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and related Web3 terms did not score highly during the year 2023.

Global searches for crypto-related content flooded Google between 2020 and 2022. According to a CoinTelegraph analysis that used data from Google Trends, these queries related to cryptocurrency started to decline around August 2022 and were eventually replaced with searches about AI.

To put the situation in perspective, AI-related Google searches bagged a score of 91 on Google Trends, whereas searches around Bitcoin only scored 22 out of 100.
