◼️ Death of Epstein’s ‘girl scout’ Daniel Siad in Paris revives South African connections: Previously unreleased emails obtained through the US Department of Justice’s disclosure of the Epstein files reveal that South Africa featured prominently in Epstein’s international recruitment network. The correspondence shows that Siad regularly supplied Epstein with photographs and profiles of aspiring South African models, many of whom believed they were pursuing legitimate international modelling opportunities.

◼️ ‘Go back to Pakistan’: DA’s legislature Chief Whip Imran Keeka made the allegations during the full sitting of the House on Tuesday and later released a statement with the same allegations. “Last Friday during the Health Budget Debate, MKP members were heard telling me to go back to Pakistan. Yes, I lived and worked there. Then, during last week’s Public Works Budget Debate, the Honourable Bongumusa Mkhize said that once the MKP was done with African foreigners, white South Africans would be next,” said Keeka.

◼️ Post Office plan to deliver speeding fines in SA: “As South Africa’s designated postal operator under the Universal Postal Union framework, SAPO will provide the electronic distribution of legally served AARTO notices,” the Post Office said. “Using electronic communication channels, including SMS and email, motorists will receive secure, legally served notices with improved speed, efficiency, and traceability.”

◼️ The most dangerous time of day to be on SA’s roads: Optix analysed more than 8.9 million driver-hours and 16.1 million recorded driving events. Instead of measuring crashes against overall traffic volume, it calculated collisions per 1,000 active drivers to provide a clearer picture of individual risk. The report also pointed to poor road conditions, including potholes, faded lane markings, missing reflective road studs and damaged or stolen road signs, all of which become much harder to spot after dark.
