Hybrid solar eclipse 2023: A hybrid solar eclipse will happen next month. It will take place on April 20, astronomers are calling it Ningaloo solar eclipse

Due to its hybrid character, the solar eclipse will combine an annular eclipse with a total solar eclipse. Only one more solar eclipse will be visible this year after the hybrid solar eclipse, on October 14. An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon partially blocks the Sun, giving the bright Sun the appearance of a dark disk.

A hybrid solar eclipse is a unique type of eclipse which is a combination of an annular eclipse and a total solar eclipse. People will be able to see the Sun in a ring shape and only for a few seconds. This shape of the sun is called a ‘ring of fire’ and such kind of eclipse is produced when the moon’s shadow moves across Earth, making it a transition to another.

A solar eclipse typically happens when the Moon passes in front of the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow across the planet’s surface. After 2013, this hybrid solar eclipse will take place, and it will be the final one until 2031.

The first solar eclipse of this year will occur on 20 April 2023. People will witness a partial solar eclipse on the day. The next Solar eclipse of the year will occur on October 14. The second one will be an annual solar eclipse.

According to space.com, just three places on earth will see a total eclipse: Exmouth, Western Australia; Timor Leste; and West Papua.

Watch by using a telescope to display the image of the Sun onto a whiteboard. To view the solar eclipse, one can use eye filters such as black polymer, aluminized Mylar, or welding glass of shade number 14. It is not safe to watch the eclipse directly.
