All businesses worldwide now have access to a new tool that allows them to display their location address, business hours, and other contact information on their Twitter profiles.
Earlier, users in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia could access the “Location Spotlight” function.
To support aspiring entrepreneurs on its platform, Twitter is also introducing a new monthly live series called “Taking Care of Business.”
“We are proud of the foundation we’ve laid with the initial suite of products we’ve unveiled to date and we’re excited to continue introducing new ways to help professionals achieve business success on Twitter,” it said in a statement.
The ‘Location Spotlight’ feature allows professional accounts of brick-and-mortar stores to display details on their profiles.
Users can see the new information when they visit a business’ profile.
By tapping the location, a mapping app like Google Maps can provide driving instructions to the store.
Businesses, brands, artists, and publishers can “develop and strengthen their presence on Twitter “have a unique and clearly defined presence on the platform and the ability to grow and strengthen their presence on Twitter”.
The functionality can also be customized by the businesses to highlight the days and hours they want customers to visit their store.
