Virat Kohli reveals how Anushka Sharma changed him as a person, spills romantic details

“DCW has issued a notice to police over a threat made on Twitter to rape Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter. Our chairperson Swati Maliwal has called this ‘shameful,’ and called for immediate arrest of the accused,” the commission posted on Twitter, sharing an image of its letter addressed to the cyber-crime branch of the Delhi Police.

The way the 9-month-old was threatened on Twitter is “very shameful”, Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of the Women Body, said in a tweet today, urging the Delhi police to share information regarding the police investigation in the case.

“The team has made us proud thousands of times, why this silliness in defeat,” Ms Maliwal said.

The Delhi Women Panel has sought information regarding copy of FIR, details of accused identified and arrested, and also a detailed “action taken report” in the matter.

“If no accused has been arrested, please provide the details of steps taken by Delhu Police to arrest the accused,” the notice – sent today – says.

The police have been asked to provide the sought information by November 8.

Hateful comments against Virat Kohli’s daughter started appearing on social media after India’s loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. Mr Kohli was also attacked after he spoke against the incessant trolling of his team mate Md Shami who was targeted for his religion after the loss.

“Attacking someone over their religion is the most pathetic thing one can do as a human. That is a very sacred and personal thing. People take out their frustration because they have no understanding of what we do,” Virat Kohli had told reporters during a pre-match press conference on the eve of the Super 12 encounter against New Zealand.
