Syrian authorities dismantled a three-member cell linked to Lebanese group Hezbollah in the southern Daraa province, the Interior Ministry said Tuesday.
The ministry said the General Intelligence Directorate, in coordination with internal security forces, arrested the suspects in the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa.
The operation followed surveillance of what authorities described as an attempt by the cell to set up rocket launchers to carry out attacks aimed at destabilizing security, according to the statement.

The ministry said the rocket launchers were fully dismantled, adding that investigations into the suspects were continuing before their referral to judicial authorities.
It did not identify the intended targets or specify the number of rocket launchers found.
There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah on the Syrian authorities’ claims as of 2000GMT.
The Yarmouk Basin lies in western Daraa province near the disengagement line with Israel.
On July 16, Syrian authorities said they foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of advanced weapons across the Syrian-Iraqi border.
Preliminary investigations showed that the shipment was intended to transit Syrian territory to Lebanon for Hezbollah, according to authorities.
