US UNDERMINES TRUST IN ITS CURRENCY BY USING DOLLAR AS TOOL OF SANCTIONS, SAYS PUTIN

“In my opinion, one of the United States’ colossal mistakes is to prohibit the use of dollar in international transactions and to turn it into a tool for some sort of struggle. This is total nonsense, they are undermining the trust in the dollar. This is just ridiculous,” he said at a meeting with heads of international news agencies, TASS reported.

The United States spends huge resources to maintain its status of an empire, but this does not benefit it, Putin stressed.

“Today’s [US] leadership wants to maintain its imperial position at all costs and only harms itself,” the Russian leader continued.

No unipolar world order exists at this point, and this is the way the world should be, he stated.

“Even now it would be incorrect to speak of any sort of monopoly [in global affairs], it no longer exists,” the Russian leader added.
In his opinion, the world can only exist when it is multipolar.

“A total monopoly will be terrible. The world is always diverse, be it nature or politics,” he continued.

The United States is convinced that “God has fallen asleep on its shoulder”, and therefore it can call the shots, but the modern world is developing rapidly, and new center of power are emerging in it, according to Putin.

“The Soviet Union collapsed, broke up, or was made to break up – it does not matter, what matters is that it ceased to exist, and there was only one superpower left, which came to believe that God had fallen asleep on its shoulder and that now it could hand out commands to everyone,” Putin said.

“However, the world is complex and diverse. It is developing rapidly and new centers of power are emerging,” he added.

Putin also dismissed the assertions by the collective West that Russia wants to attack NATO member countries as absurd.

“There is this fanciful stuff that Russia wants to attack NATO. Are you out of your mind? Are you as dumb as this table? Who made that up?! It’s nonsense, do you understand? It’s a bunch of gibberish!” he stressed.

The war in Ukraine began after the coup d’état in 2014, not because of Russia, the president noted.

“We did not start this war. The war began in 2014 after a coup d’état and attempts to crush those who did not agree with the coup using guns,” Putin said, adding Moscow has made every effort to find a formula for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.

“I can tell you that our losses, particularly irretrievable losses, are certainly significantly smaller than those of the opposite party,” he noted.
“As for irretrievable losses, the ratio is one to five,” Putin specified.

According to him, this is the reason behind attempts to carry out an all-out mobilization campaign in Ukraine.

Russia will use all means at its disposal if its sovereignty and territorial integrity are under threat, the president stressed.

“For some reason, the West believes that Russia will never use it. But we have our nuclear doctrine. Take a look at what it says. If someone’s actions threaten our sovereignty and territorial integrity, we believe that it is possible to use all means at our disposal. This should not be treated lightly; this should be treated with professionalism,” he stated.
