Fri 17 September 2021:
Both iOS and Android users have access to a lot of features in WhatsApp. The Facebook-owned company now appears to be working on providing new and distinctive features to the desktop version as well.
According to WaBetaInfo, the messaging app will soon introduce a feature that will allow users to turn their photos into stickers.
So, how will this work? When users upload a new photo to the app, they will notice a new sticker icon next to the caption box. When you choose that icon, WhatsApp will send the image as a sticker rather than a regular photo.
According to the report, users will be able to verify if the image that you have sent is a sticker or not. This feature is currently under development and will soon be available for desktop users of WhatsApp. Currently, the feature is available in the 2.2137.3 desktop beta version.
“This feature is very useful and it allows to quickly create a sticker from an image, without using any third-party app! At the moment WhatsApp is not working on the same feature on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS,” WaBetaInfo said.
Furthermore, WhatsApp just launched a beta program for WhatsApp Desktop last month, allowing users to try out new features. Both Windows and macOS users were given access to the beta version.
