HAMAS CONDEMNS GERMANY’S DECISION TO SEND 10,000 TANK SHELLS TO THE ISRAELI ARMY

Germany’s government is considering the delivery of tank ammunition to Israel to support it in its fight against Hamas, according to German magazine Der Spiegel on Tuesday.

The departments involved have already agreed in principle to fulfil a request from the Israeli government, the report said.

The request to supply around 10,000 rounds of 120mm precision ammunition for the Israeli army was received by Berlin in November.

Since the industry cannot deliver the desired precision ammunition immediately, the option to first release ammunition from German army stocks is being considered, in order to respond to the request promptly, according to the report.

A German government spokesperson was not immediately available for comment outside of regular business hours.

Hamas slams

In a statement, Hamas said the delivery of this ammunition would turn Germany into a “direct partner in the war on our (Palestinian) people in Gaza.”

Dr. Bassem Naeem Member of the Political Bureau of Hamas said in a statement:

We denounce in the strongest terms Germany’s intention to agree to send about ten thousand tank shells to the Zionist occupation, which turns Germany into a direct partner in the war against our people and bears full political and moral responsibility for the war crimes committed by this Nazi Zionist government and the genocidal war against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

It seems that Germany is reproducing its history full of sins against humanity, and is not deterred by all the lessons of the recent past.

Here we affirm that our people will not forget and will not forgive anyone who participated in the aggression against them or gave cover to this criminal enemy who violated all taboos.
