INDIAN MAN AYUSH MALIK RECONVERTS AFTER FIR AGAINST WIFE, FATHER-IN-LAW

Ayush Malik, a Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate from Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, has reconverted to Hinduism after embracing Islam for a woman he was in a relationship with. In a video circulating widely on social media, Malik is seen performing Hindu rituals at his family home alongside his parents, tendering an emotional apology for the distress his decision caused them.

Malik stated that he converted to Islam out of love but chose to return to his original faith upon realising the pain it inflicted on his family. Yashveer Maharaj of Yog Sadhana Ashram, who had earlier highlighted the case, confirmed the reconversion, noting that Malik has resumed Hindu worship practices and removed all Islamic articles from the house.

The development follows a complaint filed by Malik’s father, Devraj Malik, alleging that physiotherapist Chandni Qureshi and her family influenced his son’s conversion in 2023 in Delhi, where he adopted the name Mohammad Ali and underwent a nikah ceremony. The family claims the conversion was part of a conspiracy to seize their multi-crore property.

Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Chandni Qureshi, her father, and others on June 7 under the state’s anti-conversion law and various IPC sections, including extortion and cheating. A Special Investigation Team is probing the case, which remains ongoing.
