OBNOXIOUS AI-GENERATED VIDEOS OF MAKKAH, MADINAH SURFACE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Three AI-generated videos containing highly objectionable visuals of Makkah and Madinah, the two holiest sites for Muslims worldwide, have surfaced on social media platforms, primarily Instagram.

The videos were posted on Friday (July 17), from the Instagram profile of Rohit Kumar, a resident of Akhtiyarpur Manjhauli village in Patna. The videos have now been deleted.

In one video, Kumar, wearing a saffron scarf, is seen entering the Holy Kaaba with a pig that defecates on the floor. He is heard saying in Hindi: “Duniya mein pehla aadmi hoon, jo Makkah-Madinah mein suar (pig) laaya hoon” [I am the first person to bring a pig inside Makkah-Madinah].

A second video shows him entering the holy premises carrying a Shivling, a Hindu religious symbol. A third video shows ancient Hindu idols placed inside the sacred precincts.

Kumar reportedly has 25.8K followers on his primary Instagram account. He also operates a second account with seven posts and 220 followers.
