Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden outlined the key starting points on Syria, Iran, Libya and Ukraine at their summit in Geneva, and consultations will continue, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
“They touched upon these topics, the starting points were discussed, they exchanged the preliminary strands. Contacts will continue,” Peskov told reporters, asked if Putin and Biden touched upon Ukraine, Syria, Iran and Libya.
There are no deadlines for implementing the agreements that Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden reached at the summit, it will take months, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
“Implementing the agreements that were stated during yesterday’s negotiations will take some time.
Presidents talk conceptually and state their understanding as a whole. Then we proceed to the expert level for carrying out some difficult and meticulous work, which will certainly take months, especially since we are talking about the launch of strategic stability mechanisms. A huge number of departments from both sides will be involved in the negotiations, this will take time. There are no deadlines here and there cannot be,” Peskov told reporters.
Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden did not touch upon developments in Venezuela and the problematic of the OPEC+ at their summit in Geneva, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said .
“No, they did not,” Peskov told reporters, asked if the presidents discussed Venezuela and Latin America in general.
“They did not touch upon this topic either,” Peskov added, asked if Putin and Biden discussed cooperation within the OPEC+.
