An Iranian nuclear scientist was assassinated east of the capital Tehran on Friday, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
There has been apparently an explosion, followed by shootings in the Ab-e-Sard of Damavand. Security forces have blocked the street where the incident happened. Three or four other people have also been killed.#Iran #MohsenFakhrizadeh pic.twitter.com/MaxgQwlAIz

According to the available reports, the scientist was killed in an attack to the east of Tehran in what is described as a suicide attack, with a blast and gunshots heard in the area.
